Ten MCC faculty and staff members have been selected as the first group of participants in a newly-created leadership and professional development program, Eagles Leadership Convocation.
Community and civic leaders, daycare personnel, and government officials gathered at MCC to learn more about Excel by 5, a coalition that helps to engage citizens to ensure young children are ready for school by age 5.

For the past 15 years, April Miles has worked several different jobs, the last of those at Rush Foundation Hospital as a secretary in the NICU. The passion to work with babies and take care of her family drove her back to MCC.
