Customized Training
MCC's Workforce Development Program provides workforce training to the citizens of Meridian and Lauderdale County. The training is conducted in accordance with the Workforce Enhancement Training (WET) Guidelines as developed by AccelerateMS.
Financial assistance for companies from AccelerateMS may be available for some services
and classes and professional and technical assistance is often available from state
resource pools.
PROGRAM GOALS:
- To provide MS citizens the skills needed to be more productive and have an improved quality of life.
- To provide the employers of our state a better trained and educated workforce.
- To train for higher skilled and higher wage jobs for existing business, industry and employees in our state.
MCC's Workforce Development division serves over 400 companies and 14,000 individuals annually. Some of the companies that received customized training include: Anderson's Regional Health Systems, Fairbanks Scales, iQor, Lockheed Martin, Rush Health Systems, The Service Company, Tower Internation, Van Zyverden, and more!
