Division of Nursing
The Division of Nursing covers Associate Degree Nursing, Health Care Assistant, and
Practical Nursing. These programs provides students with educational opportunities
for personal and intellectual development and for a career to help meet the health
care needs of the community.
Associate Degree Nursing
The Associate Degree Nursing program prepares graduates for beginning staff level positions as registered nurses. Graduates receive an Associate of Applied Science degree and are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination for licensure as a registered nurse.
Associate Degree Hybrid Nursing
The Associate Degree Hybrid Nursing program is a 4-semester program that combines face-to-face learning and online instruction. Graduates receive an Associate of Applied Science degree and are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination for licensure as a registered nurse.
Health Care Assistant
The Health Care Assistant program combines classroom, lab, and clinical training experiences to prepare graduates to assist in providing health care in the health care profession. Students receive instruction in basic health care skills, body structure and function, special care procedures, first aid emergency procedures, Home Health Aid, and Homemaker Services.
Practical Nursing
The Practical Nursing program is designed to teach students basic nursing skills and to care for patients in affiliated clinical agencies. This program provides educational opportunities for personal as well as intellectual development to help meet the health care needs of the community
