Meridian Community College honored four exceptional MCCers during its annual Hall of Fame ceremony, recognizing their outstanding contributions to the institution and the wider community.
To her students, MCC instructor Alice James taught more than just numbers, she taught perseverance, confidence, and the power of believing in yourself.
Alumni who have excelled in their respective professions and life missions and have elevated MCC's esteem through their achievements, service, and association with the institution will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on March 5.
James Carter is a motivational speaker, published author, and mentor who is also the founder and executive director of the Carter Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving youth in Meridian, Hattiesburg, and West Alabama.
Ja'Nyra Henderson is the first recipient of a Bower Foundation scholarship designed to support social work students at Mississippi State University-Meridian.
