Applying to Meridian Community College is your first step toward becoming an Eagle. No matter where you’re starting from, we make the process simple and are here to help along the way.

First-Time Freshmen are students who hold, or will hold, a high school diploma.
To become an Eagle, you must submit the following:

Official, final high school transcript OR high school equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) submitted to MCC Admissions in one of the following ways:

Sent through a secure electronic server (ex: Parchment, Scribbles, etc.) from your high school to admissions@meridiancc.edu.

Bring in your official documents in a sealed envelope to the Admissions Office.

Mail your official documents to Meridian Community College (view mailing address).

Test scores (ACT/SAT/Accuplacer) are not required for general admission to MCC, however, they may be necessary for course placement and/or program admission. Contact MCC Admissions for more information.
Transfer students are students transferring to MCC from another college or university,
who do not plan to return to their previous institution.
To become an Eagle, you must submit the following:

Transient students are students who wish to attend MCC for a single semester and then
return to their former institution.

International Students are students who are not United States citizens or permanent residents and are citizens of another country.
International students considering attending MCC should visit studyinthestates.dhs.gov and make themselves familiar with the requirements.

MCC's Dual Education program allows eligible students to earn dual credit or be dually enrolled at MCC. Not only does this program accelerate your academic journey, but it also provides a taste of college life and its rigors, ensuring you're well-prepared for what lies ahead!
Non-degree students are students who take courses for credit, but are not currently seeking a degree from MCC.

Is there an application fee?
- No, there is no fee to apply to MCC.

If I'm enrolled in classes now, do I need to submit a new application to sign up for classes next semester?
- No. If you are currently enrolled in classes, you will only need to speak to your MCC Advisor to sign up for classes for next semester. Check with your advisor to find out upcoming or current registration dates.
Do I need to submit a new application if I'm currently enrolled and want to change my program of study?
- If you're currently enrolled, you can change your program of study by speaking with your advisor. Submitting a new application is not necessary.
- Currently enrolled students can request to change their program of study on Eaglenet by submitting a request under the "Student" tab in the "YOUR Current Major" section. This will send a message to your academic advisor, and they will reach out to you by email or phone.
Do I need to submit a separate application to be accepted into a competitive healthcare program?

No. Our competitive healthcare programs don't have a separate application process. If you indicated your chosen competitive healthcare program on your original application as your program of study, you have also applied to be accepted to that program. If you're not sure or don't remember which program of study you chose on your application for admission, you can check with your advisor.

If you want to change from your current program of study to one of our competitive healthcare programs (or any of our other programs of study), you only need to speak with your advisor.
How do I change my program of study?
- Currently enrolled students can request to change their program of study on Eaglenet by submitting a request under the "Student" tab in the "YOUR Current Major" section. This will send a message to your advisor, and they will reach out to you by email or phone.
How do I submit my transcripts to MCC?

High school transcripts can be sent electronically directly by the school through a recognized electronic transfer service, such as Parchment, Escrip, or Scribbles.

College transcripts can be sent electronically directly by the school through a recognized electronic transfer service, such as Parchment, Escrip, or Student Clearinghouse. If a recipient email is required, you may direct the transcript to admissions@meridiancc.edu.

GED/HiSET/TASC transcripts can be sent electronically directly to admissions@meridiancc.edu through diplomasender.com or ged.com.

Transcripts may also be provided by mail or in person if the official transcript remains sealed in the envelope from the school.
What if I owe a balance at another college? Do I still have to provide that college transcript?
- Yes. All previous official college transcripts are required for admission.
How can I submit my test scores?
- You may submit test scores one of three ways:
- Directly through your student account at act.org or sat.org. Scores are typically available to us the next business day through ACT.
- From your high school transcript. Be sure to ask your counselor to provide scores on the copy of your transcript when requesting.
- If you have a personal copy, you may email it to admissions@meridiancc.edu, bring it in person and we can make a copy of it, or fax it to 601.484.8838.
- Note: Test scores (ACT/SAT/Accuplacer) are not required for general admission to MCC. However, test scores may be necessary for course placement and/or program admission.
What is the Accuplacer?
- The Accuplacer is a placement exam that is offered at MCC. Many students consider this exam if they have not taken the ACT or SAT or need to achieve a higher score for course placement or program selection.
- Accuplacer scores do not transfer from one institution to another, unlike ACT/SAT, and are available immediately after testing.
How can I sign up for the Accuplacer?

Before scheduling a testing appointment, students must be complete an Application for Admission or be currently enrolled at MCC.

What do I do if my school is not accredited?
- If you have attended a non-accredited high school, we encourage you to consider enrolling in our Adult Education Program.
