Niche names MCC to its Best Community Colleges in Mississippi ranking
Meridian Community College earned a Top Five spot from Niche's 2022 Best Community Colleges in Mississippi listing.
Niche is an online market leader in connecting colleges and schools with students and families, offering in-depth profiles on every school and college in America with more than 140 million reviews and ratings and search and data tools.
MCC ranked No. 5 on the list. The Best Community College ranking is based on an analysis of academic, financial, and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education, along with millions of reviews from students and alumni.
Visitors to the site can read comments from others about the College, including a recent post that read: "The professors are very helpful. Classes tend to have less people, so you can get more one-on-one help."
MCC officials are pleased with the recognition. “Some may say we have been a well-kept secret locally, but working with Niche has allowed us to highlight our academic rigor at a competitive rate to a broader audience," said Dr. Cedric Gathings, MCC vice president for engagement.
"Our faculty and staff are dedicated to meeting the needs of all students. We encourage students and families to contact our recruitment office if they have specific questions. In addition, it is rewarding to see our institution recognized for its dedication to being a change agent in our community," he added.
