College's MLK program illustrates dream narrative

Weaving the figurative threads of dreams and visions, speakers at MCC's MLK Commemorative Celebration offered inspiration and advice to the McCain Theater audience to uphold Dr. King's legacy.
The "We Are the Dream" theme will be highlighted at the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Celebration on January 23. Campus and community residents are encouraged to attend the program at 1 p.m. in McCain Theater.
The President's List includes students carrying 12 or more semester hours who have a grade point average of 4.0. The Dean's List includes students with 12 or more semester hours with a grade point average of 3.25 to 4.0.
The donation will help scholarship students who do not qualify for total federal aid and assist with other non-covered scholarships. In addition, the grant can also be used to purchase small tools for students as gifts from the Gene Haas Foundation.
A wide variety of artistic works will take the spotlight when the exhibit, "Express Yourself! Selected Work from Our MCC Community: Our Family Has Talent," opens Thursday, Jan. 26.
