MCC career and technology program receives ADAPTIX donation

ADAPTIX by Norgren

Meridian Community College's Precision Machining Engineering Technology Program received a generous donation of an adaptive workholding system from ADAPTIX by Norgren, a leading manufacturer of machining solutions.

The ADAPTIX is a fixturing solution for holding parts that would be difficult to stabilize with standard, flat vice jaws during machining. It's machinist-crafted configuration features a unique design that provides increased gripping force and improved accuracy, making them ideal for various machining applications.

With ADAPTIX, MCC students have access to the latest technology and tools to help them develop their skills in precision machining.

"This was one of the newer things in adaptive jaws I've seen. What I liked about them from the start was how intuitive they are," said Brian Warren, program coordinator for MCC's Precision Machining Engineering Technology Program.

He added, "We're extremely grateful for ADAPTIX's generous donation."

Eddie Saunders Jr., senior content strategy and demand generation manager for ADAPTIXC by Norgren, said the company was proud to provide the equipment to MCC. "It's our mission to make the industry better and empower the next generation of machining experts,” he said.

Saunders added, "the MCC facility, leadership, and students were highly impressive, and ADAPTIX is thrilled to be a part of such a large initiative for the future of our industry."
