Mississippi-native writers John Floyd, Sophie Sims Hudson, and Laurie Parker will take the spotlight in this conversation-filled lunch program, set for noon to 1 p.m. in MCC's Workforce Development Center, Room 171.
"I learned to fully trust God because I could not control any of this. I had to let go and let God, and when I did, He gave me a peace like I cannot explain," Creel said.
"My message to others fighting cancer is to remember you aren't alone. God will not leave you. He didn't bring you this far to leave you," Burnett said.
The Casteel Gallery's next exhibition, "Another Bridge," will focus on the works of MCC faculty members Daniel Ethridge, Laura Reinstatler, and Terrell Taylor. The opening reception is Oct. 17 from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
