The first day of classes marks the start of another year of academic and career training as MCC continues its mission to support educational, economic, and community development in the region.
After honing his baseball skills this summer in Virginia, Brennon Wright said he was looking forward to returning to campus, "I realized I missed this place a lot more than I thought I would. I was pumped to get back here."
At Meridian Community College's recent orientation session, nearly 125 new students explored the MCC campus, found their classrooms, met with faculty and staff members, and registered for classes.
Meridian Community College hosted the annual summer meeting of the Mississippi Space Grant Campus Coordinators, with 14 representatives attending.
Attendees can explore community organizations and service providers, learn about resources available for education, healthcare, employment, and housing, and talk with representatives from different agencies.
