Rachel Dixon

Ann Tucker Scholarship

Rachel is a sophomore from Philadelphia, MS and a 2010 graduate of Choctaw Central High School. She is majoring in the Early Childhood Education Technology program and plans to obtain her Bachelor's Degree in Child and Family Studies from the University of Southern Mississippi. This scholarship is awarded each year to a graduating student who plans to continue their education in the field of early childhood education. The scholarship award is named after Ann Tucker, who served on the Program's Advisory Council, directed a local community child-care center, and further supported the program by providing a lab site for what is now known as Preschool and Primary Development. This award is based on career goals, community service, and the applicant's philosophy of working with young children. Congratulations, Rachel Dixon.
