With more than 180 students as candidates for graduation, Meridian Community College will hold its fall commencement on Friday, Dec. 8, at 2 p.m. in the Temple Theater in Downtown Meridian.
The holiday spirit is in full swing as MCC prepares to entertain the campus and community with its annual Arts & Letters Series Christmas concert on Thursday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m. in the McCain Theater.
Lauren Lewis is nearing her goal of becoming a nurse. Her commitment to making a difference in patients' lives and her demonstrated skills have earned her the Mississippi Nurses Foundation Scholarship.
The opportunity to play basketball led Derrius Ramsey to MCC. But it's the people he likes best about his college choice. "The Student Success Center, the instructors, actually, everyone around here is very nice," he said.
