MCC's Eagles Skills for Occupational Advancement and Readiness (SOAR) Out of School Youth Program is for 16 to 24-year-olds to help them gain work experience.
Representatives with the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services, the City of Meridian, and Ochsner Health visited MCC for a lunch-and-learn session for students with disabilities.
At this year's My College Cares event, 550 MCCers, including over 60 college faculty and staff members, dedicated their time and efforts to giving back to the community.

My College Cares is a one-day event where the campus closes so students and employees can venture out into the community and volunteer in tasks that range from cleaning, painting, organizing, gardening, and more.
