During her tenure at MCC, James impacted hundreds of students and earned numerous accolades, including MCC Teacher of the Year, MCCer of the Month, and the T.J. Harris Award for outstanding service to the college and community.

Since joining MCC in September 2021, Freeman finds joy in the friendships she's made on campus. "The best thing about MCC is definitely the friends and relationships I have cultivated since I've been here," she said.
