'Liftoff' takes off with first session

Though the calendar hasn't turned to August yet, some 35 new MCC students got a jump ahead on their fall semester start thanks to the first Liftoff event held on campus Tuesday.
MCC's Liftoff orientation sessions are preparing to help future MCCers get their wings. Four separate sessions are planned for July 19, July 27, Aug. 4, and Aug. 12.
MCC Phi Beta Lambda members Stephen Milling, Dyson Williams, Brayden Stewart and Madison D'Angelo competed in the PBL National Leadership Conference held in Chicago.
Victor the Eagle, MCC's mascot, is more than a familiar figure on campus and in the community; he's a goodwill ambassador for the College. Justin Hopkins knows first-hand Victor's role because when he dons the suit of foam, fir, and fluff, Hopkins is Victor.
Meridian Community College will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the Citizens National Bank Sports Complex on Friday, July 15, at 9:30 a.m. Campus and community residents are invited to attend.
