Veterans salute to honor campus and community vets

MCC's McCain Theater will be all aglow with the brilliance of Oz when the College's Arts & Letters Series presents the Tony-award-winning show, The Wiz.
The opportunity to play basketball led Derrius Ramsey to MCC. But it's the people he likes best about his college choice. "The Student Success Center, the instructors, actually, everyone around here is very nice," he said.
Each fall, MCC honors first-generation college students with a reception, banner signing, and a talk by a guest speaker to encourage these students to continue their academic endeavors.
Mississippi-native writers John Floyd, Sophie Sims Hudson, and Laurie Parker led a conversation-filled lunch program when Meridian Community College's Arts & Letters Series hosted "For the Love of Telling a Story."
