Four MCC students, Reine Akombo, Daylon Horton, Reagan Dyess, and Josie Reid, earned Phi Theta Kappa All-Mississippi Academic and Workforce Teams for 2025-26 recognition.
MCC Radiologic Technology student Josie Reid, has been named a 2026 New Century Workforce Scholar. The honor includes a $1,500 scholarship and recognizes one student from each state for academic success, leadership, and commitment to career goals.

Business, education, and workforce leaders gathered at Meridian Community College for the ATLAS Industry Roundtable Discussions, an event focused on shaping Mississippi's statewide workforce strategy.
The MCC Detention Officer Academy, required for all detention officers in Mississippi, covers topics such as jail liabilities, booking and admissions, court documentation, medical and mental health issues, and defensive tactics.
