Some 519 middle school students from across Mississippi converged on Meridian Community College's campus to compete in the state's Future Business Leaders of America Competition (FBLA).
Alumni who have excelled in their respective professions and life missions and have elevated MCC's esteem through their achievements, service, and association with the institution will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on March 5.
The award recognizes college leaders who go above and beyond to support student success. Knight was nominated by PTK students, who praised his dedication both inside and outside the classroom.
Layers of color and memory come alive in an exhibit at Meridian Community College's Casteel Gallery show featuring the works of Robert Hale-Smith, the nom d'art of retired MCC speech and theater instructor Jimmy Smith.
During her tenure at MCC, James impacted hundreds of students and earned numerous accolades, including MCC Teacher of the Year, MCCer of the Month, and the T.J. Harris Award for outstanding service to the college and community.
