Meridian Community College President Dr. Tom Huebner spoke to Practical Nursing Program students about an aspect of their future careers: non-verbal communication.
Stressing the key takeaway of "it's all in the recovery," Dr. Cedric Gathings, MCC vice president for student affairs and dean of students, reminded students to be aware of how they present themselves.
"Why do I donate? Because I can; because I am able to. You hope that one day if you ever need it, somebody will do it for the same reason. Pay it forward, you know," said Denise Wright, one of the many donors who rolled up their sleeves and gave blood.
Casteel Gallery wrapped up the season's first exhibit, The Women's Art Collective: Group Show, and prepares to open a new show, Dillan Ladner: Ceramics as Sculpture, starting Sept. 23.
