MCC to hold four Spring Commencement 2026 ceremonies on campus

A graduation stage will rise again on the Meridian Community College campus this spring as students and families gather to celebrate where the journey of finding their wings began.

MCC will hold four Spring Commencement 2026 ceremonies on Friday, May 8, and Monday, May 11. All ceremonies will take place on campus, with Graham Gymnasium serving as the main venue and overflow seating available in McCain Theater.

Spring 2026 marks the third time MCC has hosted graduation on campus in recent years.

“Graduation is a major milestone, and we wanted to bring that moment back home to campus,” said MCC President Dr. Tom Huebner.

“Our students completed their coursework and training here, and it felt important for them and their families to celebrate that accomplishment here as well. By offering multiple ceremony times, we’re able to make that experience more personal and meaningful for our graduates,” he said.

The first ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, May 8, for Associate Degree Nursing and Health Care Assistant graduates.

The second ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 8, for health education graduates, including the programs of Dental Hygiene Technology, Health Information Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Physical Therapist Assistant, Radiologic Technology, and Respiratory Care Practitioner.

The third ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, May 11, for career and technical graduates. Programs included in that ceremony are Early Childhood, Business Office Management, Marketing Management, Truck Driving, Medical Office Management, Automotive Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Graphic Design, Culinary Arts, Electrical Technology, Welding, Media Production, Hospitality Management, Precision Machining, Network and Cyber Security, Software Coding, Digital Marketing, Accounting Technology, Utility Lineman, Diesel Mechanics and Construction Trades.

The final ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. Monday, May 11, for University Transfer graduates.

Before the May 8 and May 11 ceremonies, MCC health education programs, including Dental Hygiene, Radiologic Technology, Physical Therapist Assistant, and Associate Degree Nursing, will host individual pinning ceremonies on Thursday, May 7.
