Back at Scaggs Field

Maj. Brent P. Gough, squadron plans officer and senior pilot, returned to Meridian Community College’s Scaggs Field to throw the ceremonial first pitch as a part of the Eagles Military Appreciation Day.

Gough, who graduated from West Lauderdale High School in 2007, continued his baseball career at MCC and earned a degree in healthcare administration from Mississippi State University Meridian. He enlisted in the Mississippi Army National Guard in 2012 and later transferred to the Mississippi Air National Guard, where he logged in more than 2,000 hours in multiple aircraft and participated in operations Enduring Freedom and Inherent Resolve.

In keeping with the day's military theme, the Meridian Naval Air Station honor guard presented the colors, and Petty Officer Garrett Reeves sang the National Anthem.
