MCC to host annual Queen City Race for Life and Street Strut
The 5K run and walk, one-mile fun run, and Survivor Street Strut will be Saturday, Oct. 19, with all activities beginning at 8 a.m. at the Meridian Community College Track.

Honoring those who have sacrificed and their families, MCC hosted a Prisoner of War/Missing in Action flag-raising ceremony with campus and community turning out in front of Ivy-Scaggs Hall.
"Why do I donate? Because I can; because I am able to. You hope that one day if you ever need it, somebody will do it for the same reason. Pay it forward, you know," said Denise Wright, one of the many donors who rolled up their sleeves and gave blood.
For most, pursuing a career in the medical field or becoming a touring rock musician is an either-or deal. For MCC alumnus Ted Hennington, these two worlds have blended harmoniously.
MCC is continuing to celebrate National Yoga Month with free yoga classes every Friday in September. Open to faculty, staff, students, and community members, the classes are suitable for all skill levels.
