Meridian High School ninth graders got a one-of-kind opportunity - and the first field trip of the year - when they participated in a unique camp, Experience the O.N.E. - Occupations Not Usually Explored by Men.
Alabama native Shakira Campbell is driven. "Every weekend, I go home, I drive a lot, I work a lot," the 22-old Meridian Community College Dental Hygiene Program student said. Not that she minds the effort; it's because of her tenacity, she's on her way to her career goal.
Meridian High School senior and honor student Australia Tucker is determined. "I want to go to Meridian Community College to prepare to become a neonatal nurse," the 18-year-old said.
