Thompson named 2025 Humanities Teacher of the Year

The voices of Crestwood Elementary School students filled the McCain Theater as they sang songs setting the tone for MCC's Black History Month program, "Education, Liberation, and the Future We Create."
During a Leadership Effectiveness and Development (LEAD) session led by Von Gordan, executive director of the Mississippi-based Alluvial Collective, MCC students explored the power of connection and belonging.
The Arts & Letters Series' companies, Take One and Stage Two, are presenting this musical on Feb. 8 and 9 in the McCain Theater in Ivy-Scaggs Hall. The curtain is at 3 p.m. for each performance.
Meridian Community College's Casteel Gallery will wrap up the Alabama Art Casting: Group Show and Happenings exhibit with a closing reception on Thursday, Jan. 30.
