Count Campus Life – and other MCC departments - as busy.

On the first few days of Fall Semester 2021, students were looking for their classes (“Where’s the Todd Riley Room?”), logging on to Canvas, acquiring another printed copy of their schedule, and getting back into the classroom.

Also, during those initial hectic days, Campus Life offered students a quick bite, MCC branded swag, and cool treats. LeAnne Motes, campus life coordinator, said 360 snow cones were dished out (many with sweetened condensed milk topping), and 300 T-shirts that sported the eagle were given – all within a span of two hours.

As students and schedules settle into a routine this week, Campus Life will host a blood drive outside the Graham Gym on Tuesday, Aug. 24, and Wednesday, Aug. 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Motes noted this event is open to the public as well. Participants are encouraged to make an appointment at meridiancc.edu/blood. A $10 VISA gift card and T-shirts for donors will be given by the Mississippi Blood Services, and there will be a drawing for a $50 gift card to the MCC Bookstore.
