On the job… Veronica Fox

Veronica FoxAlthough Veronica Fox serves as assistant director of student accounts at MCC, she has other College connections.

Fox is a part-time student working to complete her associate of arts degree from MCC, and her husband, Trey, also works in the College's Campus Police Department. And one of the things that led Fox to work at MCC was a family tie. "My mother-in-law, Robin Fox, worked at MCC for nine years and had only great things to say," she said.

Fox continued, "I've always liked any job I've had, but I've never loved my job, and I wanted to be able to experience that, and I can say MCC has been my favorite place to work! I enjoy coming to work every day."

Working in the Business Office, Fox assists students with their accounts, serves as the Business Office Orientation/LiftOff representative, and manages communications with students about BankMobile, a new way of processing financial aid disbursements.

"I love being able to have a healthy work environment, most of my friends will say I'm a 'quirky’ gal, and I love that all of my work colleagues accept me as I am, and I've always been treated like family from day one here at MCC," Fox said.

She counts participating in My College Cares, MCC's day-long, community-wide volunteer endeavor, as a highlight of working at the College.

Fox and her husband, who is also in the military and law enforcement, have an 11-year-old daughter and a two-year-old son. "My children are my greatest accomplishments and bring me such joy," she added.
