Hall of Famer Chipper Jones to come to MCC for Feb. 7 fundraiser
Meridian Community College will welcome Baseball Hall of Famer Chipper Jones to campus on Saturday, Feb. 7, for Legends of the Game: A Night with Chipper Jones, an event supporting MCC Baseball as part of the program’s annual fundraising efforts.
The Main Event will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the McCain Theater and will feature an in-depth conversation between Jones and MCC Head Baseball Coach Dillon Sudduth. The two will walk through key moments of Jones’ storied career, offering fans a rare, behind-the-scenes look at life on and off the field. The evening will also include a welcome video, the introduction of the 2025–26 MCC Baseball team, and a Q&A session with Jones to conclude the program.
Exclusive VIP experiences will take place earlier in the evening at the MCC Baseball Field for VIP ticketholders. The excitement begins at 5 p.m. when one raffle winner, drawn the day before and announced on MCC social media, will take the field for a once-in-a-lifetime chance to play catch with Chipper Jones. At 5:15 p.m., Jones will meet with local media, followed by the VIP Social at 5:30 p.m. inside the MCC baseball locker room.
VIP guests will enjoy a private photo with Jones, pre-signed memorabilia (no outside items permitted), food and drinks, and time with the MCC baseball team. VIP tickets are sold out.
Other ticket levels include reserved seating, which is $100. It includes a reserved seat for the Main Event. General Admission tickets, at $50, include general-entry seating for the Main Event.
