Legends of the Game with Chipper Jones set Feb. 7
A night of baseball history and community spirit will take center stage at Meridian Community College on Saturday, Feb. 7, when Legends of the Game: A Night with Chipper Jones comes to campus.
The family-friendly event will bring fans of all ages together to celebrate the sport while raising funds in support of MCC Baseball.
The night will begin at 5 p.m. at Scaggs Field, where one lucky raffle winner will take the field for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play catch with Baseball Hall of Famer Chipper Jones. Raffle tickets are available online at meridiancc.edu/legends for $25 each or five for $100. The winning ticket will be selected by MCC head baseball coach Dillon Sudduth in the days leading up to the event, with the drawing video posted to MCC social media channels.
The Main Event begins at 7 p.m. in the McCain Theater and will feature the introduction of the MCC baseball team and a live, on-stage conversation between Coach Sudduth and Jones, as they reflect on Jones' legendary career and share insights from the game. Seating remains available for the Main Event with General Admission (balcony seating) tickets priced at $50 and Reserved (floor seating) tickets available for $100. Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction located in front of the McCain Theater, featuring memorabilia from Jones and the MCC baseball program.
The event is supported by Pearl River Resort as the Hall of Fame Title Sponsor. MVP Sponsors include Ochsner Rush, Musco Lighting, and Parish Tractor.
