From songs to poetry to stories, MCC's 2024 Black History Month Celebration reinforced its theme, "African Americans and the Arts," with selections presented by community residents and MCC staff and students.
MCC's 2024 Humanities Teacher of the Year, Jade Parkes, who serves as a history instructor at MCC, presented "Before Green Eggs, Grinches, or Cats in Hats: An Examination of the World War II-Era Works of Dr. Seuss."
College wasn't in Atoria Crowell's plans for the future, but that all changed when a Meridian Community College recruiter visited her class at Meridian High School.
In observing National Children's Dental Health Month, MCC Dental Hygiene Technology students visited local elementary schools to demonstrate good oral hygiene habits.
