Students receive their High School Equivalency Diploma

HSE Graduates

Forty-six student have found their wings by receiving their High School Equivalency diploma in 2022 thanks to help from Meridian Community College's Adult Education Program. 

"They have worked hard, and their persistence has paid off. We look forward to watching them continue to grow and do great things in their lives and in our community,” said Jennifer Whitlock, director of Meridian Community College’s Adult Education. 

MCC’s Adult Education Program provides foundational math, reading, and writing skills to help students acquire the skills needed to earn a High School Equivalency (HSE) Diploma, attend college, and/or join the military.   Additionally, the AE program manages HSE Testing. 

The College's program hosted a celebration for the graduates, congratulating the honorees on a job well done. “Several have gone on to their next endeavors,” Whitlock said, adding, “we are so proud of all of them.”

When an examinee successfully passes an HSE test (GED or HiSet), MCC gives them one free academic or workforce class.
