Meridian Community College Lady Eagles Softball team members pitched in to give to others as they participated in the College’s campus blood drive.

“It’s important to give because it doesn’t hurt you and you’re helping others. It’s a small price for a big reward,” said Abigail Smith, 19, of Florence.

Smith, her teammates and other MCCers rolled up their sleeves as they donated blood during two-day drive with Mississippi Blood Drive.  More than 70 individuals gave over two days.

MCC has a tradition of giving back to the community and the twice-a-semester blood drives serve as one way the College lends a helping hand to others.
