Meridian Community College is reinforcing its leadership team with a series of appointments aimed at supporting institutional growth, strengthening operations, and advancing student success.
Alison Beatriz Perez-Zapata graduated from MCC's Physical Therapist Assistant Program in 2025. She is now a licensed physical therapist assistant working at Choctaw Residential Center through MidSouth Rehab.
Amy Boutwell returned to MCC with lessons drawn from years of leading people. The MCC alumna, who serves as vice president of human resources, East Division, at Rexel USA, recently spoke to members of the Eagles Leadership Convocation.
MCC students in health education and nursing programs are receiving vital support through the Bower Foundation Grant, which funds the Helping Healthy Eagles initiative.
A blue Dodge Charger that once served the Meridian Public School District will now patrol the Meridian Community College campus, giving MCC Campus Police another tool to serve students, employees, and visitors.
