Devices used to detect wildfires are being developed thanks to the efforts of students and researchers at Meridian Community College, Mississippi State University, and the University of Mississippi.
Wilhelmine Damon, Dr. Ray Denton, Anne Dowdle, and Dr. Tajudeen Soyoye were inducted into the MCC Hall of Fame on Tuesday, March 8. The honorees are alumni or former employees who have excelled in their careers and life missions.
The MCC's Eagle Esports group has 14 members, with Dyson Williams serving as president. Williams, a Computer Networking Technology Program student, said this tournament was the first since the pandemic. "We're trying to get back on our feet again," he said.
Forty students from Meridian Community College Practical Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Radiologic Technology programs reached out to help canines in need.
