Business Assistance 

Business Assistance courses are designed to provide valuable information to those interested in starting a new business. You will learn how to investigate the business opportunity, what steps to take to get your business off the ground, and what to do to keep it going. Anyone thinking about a new business or entering the world of business ownership will benefit from our courses.

Career and Testing Center

Whether you are looking for help with your resume, searching for local job opportunities, or seeking high-stakes professional certifications, the MCC Career and Testing Center is your one-stop destination. With a dedicated local job board and an array of certification options, we provide the tools and resources needed to help you take the next step in your career.

Computer Skills Training

A variety of computer skills training classes are offered on campus in one of our computer labs or on-site at your business. The Workforce Development staff is available to meet with business and industry personnel to determine training needs.

Continuing Education Courses

In today's rapidly changing world, continuing one's education has become essential to both career success and survival in virtually every field. Depending on the cost and area of study and its relevance within that field, not continuing your education will almost certainly lower your value in the job market and could render you obsolete.

Customer Service Training

Online Customer Service Training is available with 24/7 access to 18 different series modules. Your company will be provided with access to online course modules that teach employees how to interact better with customers and each other.

Customized Training

MCC's Riley Workforce Development Center provides workforce training to the citizens of Meridian and Lauderdale County. The training is conducted in accordance with the Workforce Enhancement Training (WET) Guidelines as developed by AccelerateMS.

Grant Training Programs

MCC's Riley Workforce Development Center manages several grant training programs, both federal, private foundation, and state funded initiatives. These programs assist qualified individuals in Meridian and the Lauderdale County area with funding for eligible training programs.

Healthcare Training

MCC's Riley Workforce Development Center offers healthcare related businesses the opportunity to take advantage of customized classes. Both pre and post-employment training courses can be provided to meet the needs of businesses.

Law Enforcement Training

MCC's Riley Workforce Development Center offers part-time and refresher law enforcement training, detention officer training and defensive tactics training for the officers of the state of Mississippi. In addition to certification by the State, graduating officers also receive Continuing Education Credits from MCC. 

Leadership Skills Series

MCC is offering 5 leadership courses with instructor Glen Mosley every Tuesday night during the month of May! You can take them as a unit or as stand-alone courses. Each 3 hour course is $50 per person. 

Occupational Skills Training

MCC's Riley Workforce Development Center offers a variety of occupational skills training ranging from technical applications to interpersonal communication skills.
