Grant Training Programs

Workforce Development manages several grant training programs, both federal, private foundation, and state funded initiatives. These programs assist qualified individuals in Meridian and the Lauderdale County area with funding for eligible training programs.

Each grant has its own separate qualifications and assessment process. Individuals are evaluated to determine eligibility for training assistance and program enrollment.

Career Step Program

The Career Skills Training Education Pathways (STEP) Program is a workforce program that covers the cost of short-term (less than one year) training, such as workforce and career-technical education courses. The program partners with local community colleges to connect participants to training opportunities and ultimately to career pathways.
