A warm welcome to a new semester
Campus updates, a program testimonial, and legislative priorities highlighted the first day of MCC Spring Semester 2023 as the College faculty and staff gathered in the McCain Theater for Workshop Week's initial session.

The foundation awards the MCCer of the Month recognition. An Howard Hill, Culinary Arts Technology Program coordinator and instructor, shared her experiences with the Eagles Leadership Convocation (ELC), another MCC Foundation-sponsored program.
Showing renovation photos, newly-designed softball and tennis complex plans, and explaining Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College's legislative priorities for a $48 million even-point funding, MCC President Dr. Tom Huebner reviewed MCC's plans.
"There are so many good
things going on at this college," said Dr. Huebner as he addressed the audience, pointing specifically to the employees. "You are folks who care deeply about your work; you have a desire to make a difference," he said.
Looking forward to the Tuesday, Jan. 17, start of the spring term, Dr. Huebner added he was grateful to be at MCC. He added, "Thank you for your efforts, energy, and encouragement."
