Rhonda Davis gets an early start on her day – much earlier than some fellow Meridian
Community College employees.
As a custodian for the Damon Fitness Center, Graham Gymnasium, and Scaggs Field, Davis begins working at 5:30 a.m. "I've been working these hours for a while," Davis said, explaining her day includes cleaning, mopping, and dusting the common areas, offices, and classrooms.
What she enjoys most about her job is the teamwork she encounters daily with her colleagues. "It's like a family here," she said.
Doing her best and trying to succeed drives Davis, who began working at MCC in September 2022.
Davis has a daughter, Lahoma Hawkins, a surgical technologist in a Meridian hospital. Lavell McClelland is Davis' boyfriend.
