Resource Fair brings agencies and MCC students together
To connect students with local and campus agencies and to offer support in academic, personal, and professional areas, Meridian Community College hosted its twice-annual Resource Fair in Ivy-Scaggs mall.
“This event has been a tremendous success,” said Nedra Bradley, MCC executive director of family services and student support. Organizers from MCC’s Student Affairs Division, including Parent Services and Student Support, coordinated the fair. “We’ve welcomed more than 20 organizations, offering resources that span everything from military and legal services to the Department of Health—truly covering a little bit of everything,” she said.
Bradley emphasized the fair showcased not only the resources available on campus but also opportunities to connect with external organizations and explore volunteer options. “There’s truly something here for everyone,” she added.
Elizabeth Jolly, program coordinator for the Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library, agreed, noting that the MCC Resource Fair benefited both the library and the students. Some MCC students renewed and signed up for library cards while stopping at the table, while others learned of the services offered, including notary public and three-dimensional printers.
