Reeves presents humanities lecture
As the Humanities Instructor of the Year, Meridian Community College Social Science Instructor John Reeves presented his lecture, “Don’t Throw Out the Baby with the Bathwater: Teaching Historical Truth in the Age of Wokeness,” sharing his thoughts on the recent rapid changes in how American historical figures are viewed.
Reeves' dedication and work in the classroom earned him this award, which recognized the contribution of humanities faculty at colleges and universities across the state.
Reeves has taught World Civilization, United States History, Introduction to Sociology, Marriage, and Family, and Introduction to Social Sciences classes at MCC since 2006.
