New Roles for Employees

With the beginning of a new academic year often comes new assignments not only for students but also for faculty and staff as well.

Twelve Meridian Community College faculty and staff members have new positions since June. Valerie Bishop, former Science and Wellness division chair, is now the associate dean for Institutional Effectiveness.

Beth Calderon, modern language instructor, is now instructor and Language, Literature and Student Success division chair; Dr. Angie Carraway, chemistry instructor, is now Science and Wellness division chair; Jade Parkes, division chair of Language, Literature and Student Success, is now history instructor.

William Bracken, a part-time desk worker in the Quave Student Center, is now Elliott Hall housing supervisor; Stacey Carlisle, Electronics instructor, is now Telecommunications Technology and Electronics instructor; Brandon Davis, Telecommunications technician, is now Telecommunication manager; Chad Graham, instructor and division chair of Social Sciences, is now associate dean of Academic Affairs, division chair and social science instructor.

Holley Purvis, the eLearning coordinator, is now interim director of Digital Teaching and Learning; Steve Satterfield, Practical Nursing instructor, is now Associate Degree Nursing Program instructor; Ashley Tanksley, lead recruiter, is now director of Admissions;  and Taylor Croley, Financial Aid specialist, is now loan/technical specialist for Financial Aid.
