Speaker shares her survivor story, domestic abuse advice

Sharing her life's story about overcoming domestic abuse, nationally-recognized Ashley Bendiksen addressed Meridian Community College audiences in three separate sessions.
With the overall topic of Advocating Strong Mental Health and Healthy Relationships, Bendiksen explored ways of self-empowerment and overcoming trauma to reach self-goals. The Phil Hardin Foundation Honors College at Meridian Community College and the Nu Upsilon Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa hosted Bendiksen's talk.
Bendiksen spoke on dating, love, bystander intervention, mental health, and resilience.
