MCC Foundation hosts donors luncheon to celebrate scholarships, student success
Donors and scholarship recipients came together at the Meridian Community College Foundation Scholarship and Endowment Donor Appreciation Luncheon to celebrate the impact of giving and student success.
The annual event allowed donors to meet some of the students whose lives have been changed by their generosity. It was also an opportunity to share updates on the Foundation’s work and say thank you.
Brandy Hill, senior Foundation accountant, shared a message of gratitude on behalf of the Foundation team.
“It’s truly wonderful to see this room filled with people who care deeply about MCC and our students,” Hill said. “What we’re building together is bigger than any one of us.”
Hill shared that in the past year, the Foundation raised nearly $1.7 million in support of students and programs. Some 375 students received scholarships totaling almost $694,000. Additionally, hundreds more students benefited from the Foundation’s Tuition Guarantee program.
“Scholarships don’t just pay a bill. They change the outcome,” Hill said. “They open doors, build confidence, and send a message that someone believes in our students and their future.”
Donors received updated scholarship and endowment reports during the luncheon and were encouraged to contact the Foundation with any questions.
Hill closed by reminding guests that their gifts have a lasting impact—not just on the students—but on their families, the community, and the future workforce.
“You aren’t just donors—you’re family,” Hill said. “And what you do is making a difference that lasts far beyond today.”
Students shared personal stories during the luncheon, offering a glimpse into the life-changing power of scholarships and the role donors play in their educational journey.
