Clarkdale High School graduate Camryn Gray is ready for Fall Semester 2022 at Meridian Community College, thanks to College's orientation session, Liftoff.

She was one of the many who met with college personnel and current students to learn more about the College and finalize their fall academic schedules during Liftoff held Thursday, Aug. 4. The third in a series of four orientation sessions, Liftoff is geared to those who recently graduated high school and those returning to school to get the career they've always wanted.

Gray has her eyes fixed on a career in education “I'm going to get my major in elementary education first and work my way toward becoming a course teacher. But I want to start with elementary education first so I can get a job right off the bat,” she said.

She came to MCC to find her wings because she feels it's a good fit. "Financially, it's the best decision, and I think it's a smart way to start. I'm not leaving to go to a four-year college, and I'm starting with people I know," she said.

The last Liftoff session is Aug. 12. For more information, go to meridiancc.edu/liftoff.
