More incoming Meridian Community College students are getting a lift for the Fall Semester 2022 through the College's Liftoff event.

The latest event on Wednesday, July 27, marked the second of the four orientation sessions geared to those who recently graduated high school and those returning to school to get the career they've always wanted. With this orientation, students meet with college personnel and Ivy League Recruiters, learn about student life opportunities, find their classrooms and instructors' offices, and finalize their fall academic schedules.

"This year's multiple events are giving us greater opportunity to meet the individual needs of the students because the groups are smaller,” said Brandon Dewease, associate dean of student engagement for MCC and coordinator of Liftoff.

The remaining two sessions are planned for Aug. 4 and Aug. 12.
