LFW Ministries donates $1,000 scholarship to MCC Foundation
With a mission of helping single parents get back on their feet, LFW Ministries Inc. has donated a $1,000 scholarship to the Meridian Community College Foundation.
The organization has funded the scholarship, which supports students enrolled in the College’s Business and Office Technology Program, for seven years.
“Helping others along their educational journey is what we’re about,” said Linda Willis, CEO of LFW Ministries. “For a single parent to get back on their feet, we want them to know they are not alone. We want to give them a hand up and help them continue their education.”
LFW Ministries’ mission is to inspire, encourage, and empower families with the tools to make a positive change.
“We strive to empower and inspire,” Willis added. “A lot of times, home and family get put on the back burner. It’s easy to be pulled away from that. We’re here to help people stay grounded and move forward.”
College officials are grateful for the continued support. “LFW Ministries’ generosity is changing lives, especially for single parents who are working hard to build a brighter future for themselves and their families,” said Dr. Leia Hill, vice president of institutional advancement and executive director of the MCC Foundation.
