MCC grad receives state radiologic society scholarship

Hannah DuesMeridian Community College Radiologic Technology Program graduate Hannah Dues received the Mississippi Radiological Society Scholarship.

As a state chapter of the American College of Radiology, the Mississippi Radiological Society offer scholarships to the top graduates of Radiologic Technology Programs in Mississippi who exemplify academic excellence, financial need, and sound moral character.  

Dues, who once worked as a licensed veterinary nurse, joined the College’s Radiologic Technology Program to learn more about diagnostic imaging. Her clinical preceptors described her as always willing to help with a great attitude and enthusiasm. Dues, who plans to pursue a higher degree as a radiology assistant, was also recognized as the Outstanding Radiologic Technology Student during the College’s Award Night ceremony. She and her husband, Jay, have two children, Charlotte, 8, and Joey, 6.

The 34,000 members of the American College of Radiology include radiologists, radiation oncologists, medical physicists, interventional radiologists, and nuclear medicine physicians.
