Four years strong: MCC again named a Great College to Work For®
For the fourth consecutive year, Meridian Community College has been named a Great College to Work For®, continuing a streak of national workplace recognition that began in 2023.
The 2026 Great Colleges to Work For® program recognized 76 colleges and universities nationwide. MCC earned recognition in two areas this year: Professional Development and Faculty Experience.
The recognition is based on a two-part assessment that includes feedback from faculty and staff as well as an institutional review of workplace policies, practices and programs. The program examines key areas that influence the employee experience and organizational culture in higher education.
This year's recognition adds to MCC's growing record with the program. The College was first named a Great College to Work For® in 2023 and earned Honor Roll distinction in both 2024 and 2025.
MCC President Dr. Tom Huebner said the continued recognition speaks to the people who make up the College and their commitment to its mission.
“Our faculty and staff take pride in being part of an institution that values collaboration, innovation, and service,” Dr. Huebner said.
That commitment extends beyond the workplace. MCC employees play a direct role in serving students, supporting one another, and strengthening the community the College was created to serve.
The Great Colleges to Work For® program is a national workplace recognition program focused specifically on higher education. Institutions are evaluated through the ModernThink Higher Education Insight Survey and an institutional questionnaire examining workplace policies and practices.
