The write stuff: Arts & Letters presents 'For the Love of the Game'

For Love of the GameMeridian Community College is gearing up for its next Arts & Letters Series Program, "For the Love of the Game," featuring a trio of writers Rick Cleveland, Jeff Roberson, and Neil White. 

Cleveland is a multi-award-winning syndicated columnist and celebrated sports writer known for his work on "Mississippi's Greatest Athletes." Jeff Roberson is an Ole Miss archivist and journalist who authored "Midnight Train – Jim Weatherly," and Neil White is an author/publisher famous for "In the Sanctuary of Outcasts" and "Stories from 125 Years of Ole Miss Football." 

The event is set to take place on Sunday, March 5, at 3 p.m. in the McCain Theater, located in Ivy-Scaggs Hall. Admission is free, and the campus and community are invited to attend. 

Susie Johnson, director of the Arts & Letters Series, said the program promises to be a fun, conversation-filled afternoon with behind-the-scenes stories and anecdotes from the world of sports. Attendees can expect to hear fascinating tales from each speaker about their experiences and insights from their respective careers. The program will also include a question-and-answer period where audience members can engage with the writers.
