Financial Aid celebrating awareness month
It's February, and MCC's Financial Aid Department is showing some love in connection with Financial Aid Awareness Month.
The department is celebrating Financial Aid Awareness Month, offering information to students and families about access to federal, state, and institutional student aid.
"We're here to raise awareness to help students know what to do, where to go, and who can help," said Lauren Stokes, MCC state grant, federal work-study, and scholarship coordinator.
To kick off the month, Financial Aid staffers gave free pizza and soft drinks, as were MCC branded gear. On Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the department will host FAFSA Day, where students can get one-on-one help completing the federal application.
