MCC’s Fall Semester 2023 gets underway

From questions about class locations to getting a new identification card and the distribution of the semester's syllabi, Meridian Community College students marked a fresh start with Fall Semester 2023 and finding their wings.
And students are eager to get the semester started. Hasen Caldwell, a freshman who has already logged in college credit thanks to previously taking dual enrollment classes, said he was excited and a bit nervous for the start. A cyber security major, his passion for computers has led him to pursue a career in that field. "I'm interested in going in that direction," he said. Caldwell added, "I'm looking forward to making new friends and growing my knowledge in the field of technology.”
Dental Hygiene Technology Program students Chole Cloninger and Remsey Land echo those sentiments. "I'm excited to learn the basics," Cloninger noted.
Though Fall Semester began on Monday, students still have time to register. The last day for students to register for full-term classes is Friday, Aug. 18; Term II classes begin Wednesday, Oct. 11.
